Facebook is one of the most powerful and popular marketing tools available to businesses. But, what happens when your Facebook marketing strategy isn’t working? Is it time to call it quits, or should you push through the slump to the finish line?

Businesses of all sizes have found great benefits in relying on a Facebook marketing strategy. If your business is struggling with gaining leads and making conversions, it is best to first examine your strategy and marketing design before throwing in the towel. Here are a few things that you should look at.

When they Visit but don’t Convert

One common problem that occurs for businesses is that they are able to get people to visit their website from Facebook, but aren’t able to convert them into valid leads or sales. The best thing that you can do when you are in this situation is to analyze your website.

The first thing that you should look at is the spot where you are losing the majority of your visitors. What are your visitors doing when they visit your site? Chances are, if you are not being able to convert them to customers, they are simply browsing your site, reading a few of your articles and moving on. If this is the case, there are probably problems in a couple of different areas; your call to action and your offers.

Changes to Your Call to Action

Keep in mind that the majority of your traffic is coming through Facebook with gaining information in mind. They never intended to make a purchase, so in their mind, there is no need to sign up for anything. Creating an impelling call to action will encourage them to sign up for more exclusive content that isn’t available through your website.

When creating your call to action, be sure that it is one that is dynamic and exciting. It should use colors that are inviting and bring life to the message. When choosing words, make sure that you use short, but snappy phrases. It is also best to use provocative words that will catch the attention of visitors.

This same method can be used with your Facebook marketing strategy as well. Create a call to action through Facebook that is equally as exciting and that will get customers wondering what else you have to offer.

Making Changes to your Offers

If you have already implemented some pretty fantastic ideas when it comes to both your Facebook call to action as well as those listed on your website and still are having issues, the problem may be a bit more complicated. Start by putting yourself in the shoes of your visitors. Are the offers that you are giving them something that is truly beneficial?

Oftentimes, businesses go a bit overboard with their offers. Instead of offering more in depth information, they make an attempt to make a sell. When a person first visits a website, it isn’t likely that they will be interested in signing up to purchase something immediately. Being more subtle is the best way to approach this.

Landing Pages

When you are conducting your Facebook marketing strategy, it is also important that you take some time to focus on your landing pages. While your Facebook ad may be enough to get people to click on your website, the information that is listed on your landing pages may actually be driving them away. Make sure that this area is concise and explains why your offer is important. It should also be easy to read and forms easy to relate to.

These are just a few of the items that you should pay attention to when you find that your Facebook marketing plan isn’t going perfectly. To learn more ways to improve this process, be sure to contact us today.
