Setting Up Epic Fraud Prevention for Your BigCommerce Store

Welcome to Epic Fraud Prevention, your go-to solution for safeguarding your BigCommerce store against fraudulent transactions. Follow this guide to quickly set up the app and start protecting your business.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

  1. Install the App:
    • Navigate to the BigCommerce App Marketplace and search for “Epic Fraud Prevention.”
    • Click “Install” and follow the prompts to add the app to your store.
  2. Configure Your Settings:
    • After installation, open the Epic Fraud Prevention app from your BigCommerce dashboard.
    • Set your desired risk score threshold. This is the score above which orders will be flagged for manual review.
  3. Integrate MinFraud API key (Optional):
    • If your store processes more than 300 orders per month, you’ll need to integrate your MinFraud account.
    • You can sign up for an account with MaxMind MinFraud and they’ll issue some API keys. CLICK HERE to get signed up.
    • Go to the ‘API Keys’ page in the app, toggle the feature on, and enter your MinFraud API keys.
  4. Review Your Settings:
    • Double-check your settings to ensure everything is configured according to your preferences.
  5. Start Monitoring:
    • With everything set up, Epic Fraud Prevention will automatically start assessing the risk of each transaction and flagging orders based on your threshold settings.
